Chamblee City Hall is a stunning new addition to the city’s government operations, located on the grounds of the former Chamblee Police Department. Boasting an impressive 28,000 sq. ft., this state-of-the-art facility offers a diverse range of spaces to accommodate various government functions. An expansive public plaza serves as a hub of community activity, making it the perfect venue for farmers’ markets, festivals, and other exciting events that bring the city together.
With its combination of traditional and contemporary elements, the architectural design of this building is truly captivating. The historic brick exterior is complemented by large arch windows, while the front entry features an inviting wood/steel trellis structure that provides a sleek and stylish touch. The designer, Goodwyn Mills Cawood, chose to incorporate three different sizes of Promenade™ Plank Pavers with Smooth Premier finishes in Granite Blend, Opal and Steel Grey. The plaza space and walkway leading to the front entrance have been artfully paved into a running bond pattern. The colors have been arranged to create a mesmerizing pixelated pattern that captures the attention of visitors as they explore the area.
This outdoor space is not only beautiful but also highly functional, thanks to the addition of trees, benches, park chairs, and tables with umbrellas. These inviting elements create a perfect atmosphere for both visitors and government workers to gather for lunch, socialize, and relax in style.
