The New Albany phase of the Preserve Crossing development in northeast Columbus included the creation of a new neighborhood of single-family and attached townhomes with amenities including 36 miles of leisure trails and 2000 acres of parkland. Multifamily developer Lifestyle Communities Ltd. focused on creating a shared green space that would shape the community and bring people together. Permeable paving with Eco-Optiloc™ was chosen for the streets and parking areas to create the red brick-paved streets, which guide the residents through the community, while being sensitive to the neighboring parklands. These permeable pavers are heavy-duty, standing up to traffic demands while they prevent flooding, alleviate stormwater infrastructure and improve water quality, promoting sustainability for years to come in the up-and-coming neighborhood.
