The renovation of the outdoor plaza at 222 South Riverside was part of a larger renovation plan to transform common areas in order to create a ‘brand-new product’. Creating more attractive amenities for this desirable location in Chicago makes it more competitive and attractive to new tenants. The outdoor areas used Umbriano® Winter Marvel and Summer Wheat for the aesthetic of granite and the added EasyClean™ stain resistance technology. The plaza continues along the river front connecting 222 to the Union Station and local transportation.
