The Passaic River Rowing Association has been organizing great events for the rowing community, enabling more and more people to enjoy the sport. The old structure on the property was no longer a suitable storage option, so Bergen County decided to build a new modernized Rowing Center to allow more residents to take part in the enjoyment of rowing.

This new Rowing Center allows for more efficient and increased boat storage, improved meeting spaces, and supports the growing demand for public access to Bergen County waterfront and rowing activities.

Permeable pavers were used around the back of the building to allow for rapid infiltration of water, thereby reducing runoff and flooding into nearby storm drains, eliminating the risk of carrying pollutants back into the environment. The pavers were manufactured with an Umbriano® finish to delivers a beautiful mottled surface, resembling natural granite.
