Based in the epicentre of Rhode Island’s capital are multiple city attractions, including the Rhode Island State House. Bringing many daily visitors, the surrounding streets required effective parking solutions. The Francis Street Parking Lot was built to accommodate such traffic within the city. The small paved islands at the main entrance of the lot serve multiple purposes, as more than just elegant accents in the paving design. Tribeca Cobble™ was used in a permeable application due to its vehicular calming capabilities and sustainable features. Reminiscent of granite cobbles, these pavers reduce stormwater runoff, offer durability and compliment the surrounding streetscape of the historic city centre.
