When the reflection pools fell into disrepair, in an un-unprecedented move permeable pavers were used as a replacement. As a result, the project harvests all of the water and is used to feed the fountains as well as supplement the irrigation system. The Domes are an iconic landmark in the city of Milwaukee. The Milwaukee County Park System also has permeable pavers at the Milwaukee County Zoo, Boerner Botanical Gardens, Wehr Nature Center and the Milwaukee County Sports Complex.
