Integrated Architecture

Grand Rapids, MI

In what used to be the grounds of an old factory dating back about 100 years, this historic building was transformed into upscale lofts just outside Grand Rapids’ downtown and on Grand River bringing new life into the up-and-coming neighbourhood. Fronting onto a paved courtyard, this mixed-use development features original brick walls, as well as modern extensions, representing an old-meets-new design. Il Campo® pavers were used to create the random patterned driveways and courtyard, featuring dynamic etched lines, adding a contemporary feel to the aged building and tying the surrounding parking lot, landscaped seating areas, front entrance and building together into a unique urban space.
