The 3^rd Street project in Bloomington, Illinois, transformed this open space in front of town homes and local businesses by providing a large and dynamic pedestrian-friendly area. This included integrating sustainable design features, as the permeable paver application aids in stormwater reduction, mitigating flooding in the area. Thornbury, and Eco-Priora in Smooth Premier, Il Campo and Series finishes were used for the streetscape surface, as their subtle surface textures and various sizes allow for versatility in design. Featuring large planters and striking paver patterns, these streetscape improvements have greatly added to the ambiance of the town street, as well as increased visual interest and pedestrian safety.
