Parking Lots,
Permeable
After years of community planning and feedback, a long-awaited renovation had resulted in a modern and more energy-efficient campus for one of the top high schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The main goal of the construction project was to create a bright building with state-of-the-art facilities and social spaces that would foster collaborative learning. Extensive landscaping and façade work was included in the scope, and the driveway and parking lot were designed with sustainability in mind. Werley Associates designed the spaces with Eco-Optiloc Standard finish, as these permeable pavers help mitigate stormwater runoff and pollution while meeting the high-traffic, heavy-duty demands of the schools’ driveway, creating a long-lasting, safe space for students, teachers and parents alike.
