CBA Landscape Architects

Worcester, MA

CitySquare is a multi-phase project in the heart of downtown Worcester. What was once the location of an old shopping mall is now in the midst of a renaissance of dining, culture and redevelopment, the project is anticipated to create more than 2.2 million square feet of commercial, medical, retail, entertainment, and residential space. On top of the underground parking and in the center of the development project, Arrowstreet and CBA Landscape Architects have designed a park that will draw people into downtown and activate the area with art installations and events. The lawn is designed to provide CitySquare with a distinct identity. Conceived in a similar way to the Lawn on D in Boston, this multi-function, flexible public space will redefine CitySquare as the Innovation District in Downtown Worcester. Umbriano® was chosen in a custom 4” x 8” shape in the French Grey and Winter Marvel Colors with the added feature of EasyClean™ ensuring the area will be easier to maintain.
