The Milan Condominiums

The Milan Condominiums

Alexander Budrevics + Associates Ltd.

Toronto, ON

Milan is a high-rise condominium located in the heart of uptown Toronto by renowned developer, The Conservatory Group. The building from top to bottom exudes sophistication, elegance and high-end design. Alexander Budrevics and Associates Ltd. (ABAL) was involved in maintaining the upscale form beyond the building’s edge and into the exterior spaces by employing modern design elements and clean simplistic detailing.

The paving plays a significant role in emphasizing Milan’s presence at the pedestrian scale and along the streetscape. The paving layout was derived from the consultants engaged at Milan’s conception, which then came to life with ABAL’s selection of unit pavers that create bold contrasting bands. These dramatic bands relate uniquely with the angular footprint of the building while strengthening the connection between the public and private spaces surrounding the architecture. Unilock’s reputation for high quality products and their wide range of selection made executing the vision a simple process. ‘With Unilock’s support we have been able to implement a design that seamlessly and safely facilitates both foot and vehicular traffic. ABAL is proud to have successfully enhanced Milan’s identity and created additional character in the neighbourhood.’
