The small zoo located in Central Park, New York City, was built in 1984 and now showcases various animals from around the world. One of the newer additions to the Central Park Zoo were two rescued grizzly bears, Betty and Veronica. The bear exhibit features a newly built upper level viewing area, offering visitors a closer look into how people can co-exist with bears in the wild. Featuring tall glass walls with wooden columns, and a paved surface, the Zoo used RivenstoneTM to create the following overlook. Cast from historic brick, cobble and stone, the paver slabs offer durability and mimic a natural rocky environment, making it perfect for this deck, and enhancing the immersive experience of the exhibit.
