Park Ridge Country Club, located on Prospect Street in Parkridge, Illinois, is a members-only golf course & resort that has been around since 1911 – serving over 500 families and thousands of members annually. In 2008, the golf & country club decided to invest in renovations that included the redesign of the entrances and walkways. When aesthetics came in to play for the creative team, it was important that they chose a design and color that compliments the old heritage building in a way that enhances its historic character.
OKW Architects chose Copthorne pavers by Unilock. The look of Copthorne is reminiscent to brick pavers used in old European cities, towns and villages. Blended on site, the pavers were selected in 3 colors: Burnt Clay, Old Oak, and Burgundy Red – the color combination complimented the brick of the building. EnduraColor Plus, Reala, and Ultima are three technologies utilized to create this paver ensuring it has up to four times the strength of poured concrete, ultra-realistic textures cast from actual natural stone, brick and cobblestones and long-lasting color
