Established during the mid-19th century, Humber Bay Shores Park has maintained its recreational focus over the years, becoming a popular waterfront destination for residents and visitors of the Greater Toronto area. Today, it is part of a string of urban parks along the Etobicoke Lakeshore district and the perfect spot to bike, walk, or sit and enjoy the view of Lake Ontario. Aimed at improving the network of trails and bicycle lane connections, the City of Toronto launched a park revitalization project in 2018. LEES+ Associates completed the trail design and chose Unilock Squares with Series™ finish for the unit paving, creating a new multi-use trail and pedestrian pathway, as well as a large plaza area overlooking the city skyline. The unique surface, exposed granite texture and long-term performance of Series™ make it one of the best pavers for public plaza applications. The enhanced public space will continue meeting the growing needs and capacity of park users for years to come.

Bikes sit parked on a checkerboard paver rug of tri-colored Series pavers, as a visitor stands atop a low seat wall nearby.
