The previous Plainville Town Hall and Public Safety Buildings were undersized and outdated, so in 2016, the Town of Plainville approved the construction of new facilities. The updated Public Safety building is located on a former elementary school site, shared with the new town hall. These buildings are directly adjacent to the existing library, creating a municipal complex and central heart of the town where many public needs can be met.

Part of the new construction was a memorial walkway, as well as several access points leading to the Public Safety building. The memorial offers residents and businesses a way to commemorate a special person or occasion with an engraved paving stone, where all proceeds are put towards a fundraising program.

Copthorne pavers from Unilock were chosen for this project because of their durability. These pavers are manufactured with Ultima™ Concrete Technology and EnduraColor™ Facemix Technology, providing superior strength, as well as concentrated, deep, rich color and a wear-resistant surface. Combined, these technologies ensure that Copthorne will withstand not only every-day use but also any winter maintenance, all while remaining aesthetically pleasing and functional. The chosen colors and authentic surface appeal of Copthorne also beautifully complements the building’s façade, creating a timeless design.
